National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) is inviting applications for various positions in Chennai. The positions include Technician–Gr. A, Scientific Assistant-Gr.A, and Scientific Assistant-Gr.B/Technical Officer.

Positions:

1. Technician–Gr. A:

• Qualifications: 10th Class Pass with ITI in relevant fields.
• Experience: Desirable to have two years of relevant experience.
• Salary: Pay Level 2 (Rs.19900-63200)

2. Scientific Assistant-Gr.A (Mechanical):

• Qualifications: Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in handling fabrication, assembly, and testing mechanical systems.
• Salary: Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400)

3. Scientific Assistant – Gr.-A (Electrical):

• Qualifications: Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in assembly, integration, and testing of electrical systems.
• Salary: Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400)

4. Scientific Assistant – Gr.-A (Electronics and Communication Engineering):

• Qualifications: Three years Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Communication/Telecommunication Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in design, preparation of P&ID, specifications, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electronics systems.
• Salary: Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400)

5. Scientific Assistant – Gr.-A (Life Sciences):

• Qualifications: First Class B.Sc. Degree in Zoology.
• Experience: Not less than 2 years of research experience in R&D laboratory.
• Salary: Pay Level 06 (Rs.35400-112400)

6. Scientific Assistant-Gr.B /Technical Officer (Mechanical):

• Qualifications: Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: Not less than 3 years of experience in drafting, fabrication, assembly & integration, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Salary: Pay Level 07 (Rs.44900-142400)

7. Scientific Assistant Gr.-B / Technical Officer (Electrical):

• Qualifications: Three years Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Not less than 3 years of experience in the operation/maintenance of large electrical power systems.
• Salary: Pay Level 07 (Rs.44900-142400)

8. Scientific Assistant – Gr.-B / Technical Officer (Electronics & Communication Engineering):

• Qualifications: Three years Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
• Experience: Not less than 3 years of experience in marine electronics, data acquisition, and underwater acoustics systems integration and testing.
• Salary: Pay Level 07 (Rs.44900-142400)
